Our plans for a new Scout and Guide hut have received a fantastic early boost, with Watton at Stone Parish Council awarding £25,000 towards the project.
The money had been set aside by the Watton at Stone Parish Council to support the development of a new hut and gives us an excellent foundation on which to build our wider fundraising campaign.
We have also secured a further £14,500 through Section 106 contributions associated with the new housing development on Walker Road.
Together, these contributions mean we already have £39,500 towards the new hut.
We are hugely grateful for this support from the Parish Council and through the Section 106 funding. It represents an important first step towards creating a modern, welcoming and long-lasting home for Scouts and Guides in Watton at Stone.
